WENAIJA VOICE YOUR CHANGE CAMPAIGN
The 2024 WeNaija Campaign seeks to shine a light on how the urban health crisis, particularly drug misuse, impacts individual users, their families, communities, and the broader society. By encouraging young Nigerians to address this issue head-on, we aim to promote prevention strategies and provide a platform for youths to become advocates of change within their communities through a creative video contest leveraging social media platforms.
How to Join the Voice Your Change Campaign
Create a 2-minute video highlighting how drug misuse impacts the health of individual users, families, communities, and the broader society
Post your video on either your Instagram or Facebook page using the hashtags #WeNaija2024 #WeNaijaVoiceYourChange #WeNaijaYouthfest #urbanhealth.
Tag the Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund (@nssf_ng)
You can submit a short documentary, artistic performance, spoken word video, or a visual storytelling piece.
Key Areas to Note:
Your submissions should not promote drug use in any way and must.
Identify a key urban health-related challenge, with a specific focus on drug abuse.
Connect this challenge to its impact on the health of individuals and the wider community
Propose innovative solutions to address these challenges.
Judging Criteria
Storytelling and Narrative Structure: How compelling and engaging the narrative is in addressing the theme of drug abuse, its impact, and solutions.
Creativity and Originality: Originality in the approach, including innovative presentation and unique perspectives on the topic.
Relevance to Theme: How well the video aligns with the contest’s theme of highlighting the impact and consequences of drug abuse in urban areas.
Clarity of Message: The effectiveness of delivering a clear and concise message on drug abuse and its effects.
Solution-Oriented: Presentation of practical and thoughtful solutions to the issues raised in the video
Eligibility Criteria
Must be a Nigerian resident in Nigeria
Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
Deadline: 11:59 pm November 10, 2024.
