We’re inviting young Nigerians to use their voices and their creativity to show how gaps in SRH education affect their lives (medically\, psychologically\, socially\, and economically)\, and to champion safe\, informed choices. \nHow to Join “Own Your Choice”\nRegister to be part of the WeNaija community (registration required to enter). \nCreate a 2–3 minute video explaining: \n\nWhat does Sexual Reproductive Health mean to you?\nHow incomplete SRH education has impacted you/peers (health\, mindset\, opportunities\, relationships);\nYouth-led ideas for delivering SRH education that actually work.\n\nUpload your video on Instagram\, Facebook\, or TikTok with #OwnYourChoice and tag @WeNaija_byNSSF on Instagram and TikTok and WeNaija Community on Facebook. \nAccepted formats: Short documentary\, artistic performance\, spoken word\, visual storytelling\, animated explainer etc. \nKey Areas to Note\n\nContent must not promote unsafe sexual behaviour or shame individuals; it should inform\, support\, and empower.\nClearly identify an SRH gap (e.g.\, consent\, contraception options\, STI prevention\, access to youth-friendly services).\nConnect the gap to real impacts on individuals and communities.\nPropose practical solutions (what should schools\, clinics\, families\, media\, and policymakers do differently?).\n\nJudging Criteria\n\nStorytelling and Narrative Structure: How compelling and engaging the narrative is in addressing the theme of Sexual reproductive health\, its impact\, and solutions.\nCreativity and Originality: Originality in the approach\, including innovative presentation and unique perspectives on the topic.\nRelevance to Theme: How well the video aligns with the contest’s theme of highlighting the impact of incomplete SRH education.\nClarity of Message: The effectiveness of delivering a clear and concise message on SRH.\nSolution-Oriented: Presentation of practical and thoughtful solutions to the issues raised in the video\n\nEligibility\n\nMust be a Nigerian resident in Nigeria\nMust be between the ages of 18 and 35\n\nTimeline\n\nCampaign Window: September 8 – November 8\, 2025\nSubmission Deadline: 11:59 p.m.\, November 8\, 2025\nWeNaija YouthFest & Winners’ Showcase: December 6\, 2025 (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.\, venue TBA)\n\nWeNaija Registration\nJoin the WeNaija community to access contest updates\, toolkits\, and YouthFest info.
