Summary
Important to any immunization intervention or campaign is the collection and management of data. To this effect, several mechanisms have been developed to ensure that this data is collected frequently and made accessible to the parties that need it. While this is important to ensure that immunization data is available, it can also become difficult to utilize data for the intended purposes.
As decision-makers and other stakeholders consider how to best allocate finite resources to improve immunization coverage and equity, there is a need to better understand what works strategies to improve the use of data for decision-making, as well as any knowledge gaps.
Through the discussion, we will understand how data collection and use can be improved to inform decision-making for vaccine delivery and uptake in Nigeria. In addition, we will identify areas where additional data would help Nigerians, especially healthcare workers and the government, make more informed decisions and how data producers and users can work more closely together to support vaccine uptake.
